Raw after WrestleMania, why are they so special?
"That particular Raw you have people from literally all over the world," said WWE superstar Titus O'Neil, who played defensive end at Florida from 1996 to 2000, during which time the Gators played two Sugar Bowls in the Superdome. "You have people from all walks of life all there for the biggest event of the year, which is WrestleMania. That leads to the best Raw. It's a very awesome night. I'm looking forward to seeing that in New Orleans."
New Orleans hosting WrestleMania:
"New Orleans is an electric place," O'Neil said. "They should try to outdo the New Jersey crowd. It's going to be very hard to top those people, but if anybody can do it, it would be the New Orleans fan base. There's no other place on Earth that has the electricity that city has at night. They are wild, and they are crazy, and that's exactly how we love it."
O'Neil, who was a member of Florida's 1996 national championship team that defeated Florida State 52-30 in the Sugar Bowl, has fond memories of New Orleans:
"I'm looking forward to being down there for a whole week," said O'Neil, who had three quarterback hurries in a 41-9 victory over LSU in 2000. "The food, the culture, the people; it's a great atmosphere. It's a great city to host any major event. I don't feel it can get much more major than having a Super Bowl and a WrestleMania in about the same year in the same place."
With their chemistry and Million Dollar Dance, they are one of the more entertaining acts the WWE has to offer. O'Neil even has a flag and whistle at the ready if he deems Young has committed a penalty:
"We just have a natural chemistry with one another," O'Neil said. "His strengths are my weaknesses, and my strengths are his weaknesses. We genuinely are friends. Our backstage segments are unscripted, unrehearsed. We are looking to entertain. It comes off very well because we are the best of friends. We are like brothers."
What is your first memory of watching WrestleMania?
WrestleMania III when Hulk Hogan bodyslammed Andre the Giant. Me being a young kid, that was the coolest thing in the world to see a man that large get bodyslammed.
Who is the Prime Time Players' dream WrestleMania opponent?
The Rock 'n' Sock Connection or the New Age Outlaws. Both would be a dream because of the things leading up to the match, the entertainment value of doing backstage segments and going back-and-forth with those guys.
What is your favorite WrestleMania match?
I would say both of the Shawn Michaels- Undertaker matches (won by The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXV and XXVI). Watching The Undertaker's streak continue (now at 21-0) has been a great memory. Each match seems to get better and better.
