The show starts with a preview of tonight’s All-Stars: Champions vs Challengers match including footage of ROH World Champion Adam Cole, ROH TV Champion Matt Taven and ROH Tag Team Champions Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly.
Kevin Kelly and Steve Corino introduce the show from the Frontier Fieldhouse in Chicago, IL. They preview tonight’s show with the entire hour being dedicated to the Champions vs Challengers match.
1) Cedric Alexander, Caprice Coleman, Michael Elgin and Jay Lethal vs Bobby Fish, Kyle O’Reilly, Adam Cole and Matt Taven: Elgin and Cole start this match that has a two-hour time limit. Cole rolls outside and Elgin follows. They roll outside and Cole tags in Taven while Lethal tags in on the challengers’ side. Lethal chops Taven in the corner and Taven rolls outside. Fish tags in and gets chopped by Lethal. Alexander tags in and works over Fish’s arm. Fish takes him down with a drop toehold and applies a headlock but Alexander comes back with a knee to the gut and a seated dropkick. Coleman tags in and hits a leg lariat. Fish stops him with an inverted atomic drop. O’Reilly tags in and he and Coleman criss-cross until Coleman hits two armdrags and a dropkick. Elgin tags in and elbows O’Reilly in the head. O’Reilly hits a chinbreaker tags in Taven who gives Elgin a vertical suplex. Elgin picks up Taven for a delayed vertical suplex but gets kicked in the gut. He immediately gets Taven back and does so again after a kick to the gut from O’Reilly. Everyone enters the ring and the show goes to commercials.
After the break, everyone is outside the ring but Taven rolls Elgin in and attempts a pin. Outlaw Inc. of Homicide and Eddie Kingston are shown at ringside confronting reDRagon of Fish and O’Reilly. Taven is punching Elgin in the ring and kicks him in the face. Cole tags in and goes for a suplex but Elgin blocks stops him and goes for a powerbomb. Cole rolls outside where Elgin hits him with a baseball slide dropkick. Elgin goes to the floor and backdrops a charging Taven. Elgin presses O’Reilly overhead and throws him onto Fish. Cole rolls inside and Elgin follows. Cole begs off and then offers a handshake. Elgin goes for a powerbomb but Taven dropkicks him in the back. Everyone enters the ring. The match is clipped and we are told we can see the uncut 75-minute match at www.rohwrestling.com. Lethal is in the ring throwing punches at O’Reilly and Cole. Lethal runs the ropes but gets taken down allowing O’Reilly to kick him in the back and for Cole to hit a dropkick. Former Future Shock tag partners O’Reilly and Cole then celebrate with each other. Cole attempts a pin on Lethal and then trades forearms with him. Cole takes Lethal to the corner and Fish tags him and kicks Lethal to the mat. O’Reilly tags in and he and Fish hit Lethal with kicks in the corner. Fish puts Lethal in an over-the-knee backbreaker while O’Reilly gives him a knee-drop off the top rope. Taven tags in and gives Lethal a vertical suplex and then jumps off the ropes with a rolling senton. Cole tags in, followed by Alexander who hits him with a flying clothesline off the top rope. O’Reilly and Fish come in as well but Alexander hits them both with high dropkicks in the corner. Alexander clotheslines Cole and hits Taven with a spin-kick off the top rope. Alexander jumps off the ropes at Cole who gets out of the way. Alexander blocks a superkick attempt by Cole and then rolls Cole outside. Alexander goes for a dive but Cole hits him in the face with an enzuiguri from the floor. Coleman enters and does a moonsault off of the second rope onto Cole on the floor. Fish gets Coleman up on his shoulders and spears him into the ringside barricade where O’Reilly hits him with a missile dropkick off the apron. Homicide and Kingston jump the rail and brawl with Fish and O’Reilly. Taven then hits a tope over the top rope onto everyone. The match gets clipped and we see Alexander hit a tope con giro onto everyone. Officials clear Kingston and Homicide away from ringside. Cole is in the ring and Alexander does a springboard jump toward him but Cole stops him with a superkick. Cole pins Alexander to eliminate him from the match and the show goes to commercials.
After the break, Taven and Lethal are in the ring. Taven goes for a back suplex but Lethal lands on his feet and he and Coleman hit stereo enzuiguris. Taven backdrops Coleman over the top rope but Lethal hits Taven with a lethal injection. Taven’s House Of Truth valet Scarlett distracts Lethal on the ring apron and kisses him. Taven charges Lethal but gets hit with another lethal injection. Lethal goes to the top rope but Kasey Rae from the House Of Truth climbs to the top rope and slaps him. Taven then hits Lethal with a superkick and Lethal and Kasey Rae fall backwards together off the top rope and through a ringside table. Coleman enters the ring and rolls up Taven for a two-count. Coleman then does a high leap and whips Taven’s head into the mat. Coleman dropkicks Fish and O’Reilly off of the apron and then punches Taven to the mat. Coleman hits three rolling German suplexes on Taven for a two-count. Kasey Rae is shown being helped to the back while Lethal is still down on the floor. Coleman kicks Taven but Cole elbows Coleman in the back of the head in the corner. Cole tags in as Taven hits his Climax forward DDT. Taven can’t pin Coleman as Cole is the legal man. Cole and Taven argue but then hit a double superkick on Elgin. Cole gives Coleman his Florida Key bridging butterfly suplex and pins him to eliminate him from the match.
Elgin is in the ring with all four champions who attack him. Elgin fights back but they beat him down. Taven stays in and applies a seated sleeper but Elgin gets to his feet and squashes Taven in the corner. O’Reilly tags in and drops a knee on Elgin. ROH match-maker Nigel McGuinness is shown checking on Lethal at ringside. O’Reilly puts Elgin in a cross armbreaker. Elgin gets to his feet and deadlifts O’Reilly and slams him to the mat. Taven charges along the apron at Elgin who hits him with a clothesline. Cole charges across the along the apron at Elgin who hits him with an enzuiguri. O’Reilly hits Elgin with a dropkick in the corner followed by a tornado DDT. O’Reilly holds on and applies a guillotine choke. Elgin gets to his feet and lifts O’Reilly up in a suplex position but gives him a forward slam into the mat. Elgin goes for a powerbomb but Fish jumps on Elgin’s back and applies a sleeper. Elgin squashes him in the corner and boots a charging Taven in the face. Fish gets back on Elgin’s back and applies a sleeper again. Fish is still on his back when Elgin grabs Taven and gives him a German suplex while slamming Fish backward into the mat. O’Reilly hits Elgin with a scissor-kick but Elgin hits O’Reilly with a spinning backfist. Elgin then gives O’Reilly a rainmaker to pin him and eliminate him from the match.
After a commercial break, Elgin is in the ring with Taven but climbs to the second rope and superplexes Cole into the ring. Cole, Taven and Cole are on the mat with Fish on the outside as Lethal gets to the apron. Elgin tags in Lethal who hits Fish Cole and Taven with clotheslines. Lethal throws Cole over the top rope to the floor. Lethal throws Fish over the top rope to the apron and knocks him to the floor with a second rope dropkick. Lethal hits Fish with a tope suicida and then hits Cole with a tope suicida and follows with one on Taven as well. Lethal superkicks Truth Martini off the apron and Taven attacks Lethal from behind. Lethal gets Taven to the mat and applies a Texas Cloverleaf. Cole tags in and superkicks Lethal in the back of the head and gives him a neckbreaker across his knee. Cole then pins Lethal to eliminate him from the match and leave himself, Taven and Fish against Elgin. Taven and Cole then give Elgin a double vertical suplex. Taven climbs to the top rope and goes for a frog splash but Elgin rolls out of the way and applies a crossface. Fish and Cole stomp him to break the hold. Elgin throws Fish to the outside and then backdrops Cole onto him. Taven does a spin-kick on Elgin and goes for the Climax but Elgin stops him and applies the crossface. Taven taps out and is eliminated from the match. Fish then jumps off the second rope with an elbow on Elgin. Fish kicks him in the head and gets a two-count. The match is clipped and Fish has Elgin’s back as Elgin kicks a charging Cole and then spins around and punches Fish. Elgin picks up Fish on his shoulders and then gives Cole a fall-away slam while giving Fish a Samoan drop. Elgin then gives Fish a spinning backfist followed by a bucklebomb and a spinning sit-out powerbomb to pin Fish and eliminate him from the match. Kevin Kelly says that this was the first time Fish has been defeated in ROH and that the match has just passed the one-hour point.
After a commercial break Cole hits the ropes and gives Elgin a running kick to the head. He tries to do so again but Elgin rolls him up. Elgin does an O’Connor Roll but rolls over into a bridging German suplex. Cole kicks out but Elgin holds on and hits another bridging German suplex for a two-count. The match is clipped and Cole is on the floor. Elgin tries to pull him back in but Cole hits him with an enzuiguri from the floor. Cole jumps off the top rope for a Canadian Destroyer but Elgin catches him. Cole gets out and hits a neckbreaker followed by a shining wizard for a two-count. The match is clipped again and Cole has Elgin’s back but Elgin throws him forward. Cole charges Elgin in the corner but Elgin catches him and this him with an STO. Elgin hits Cole with a big clothesline. The match is clipped and Cole applies a figure four leglock. Elgin is in it for quite a while and the referee does give a two-count but Elgin grabs the bottom rope to break the hold. Elgin goes for another figure four but Elgin rolls him up in a small package for a two-count. Elgin applies a crossface and Cole does roll him over but Elgin gets the crossface again. Cole gets the ropes to break the hold. Elgin gives Cole a buckle-bomb and then attempts another powerbomb but Cole rolls over into a sunset flip. Elgin picks him up for another powerbomb attempt but Cole slips out and attempts a suplex. Elgin escapes and hits a spinning backfist. Elgin goes to the top rope but Cole hits a baisaku kick. Cole goes to the top rope and gives Elgin a hurracanrana. Cole then goes to the top rope again and jumps off and gives Elgin a Canadian Destroyer. Elgin kicks out after a two-count and Cole acts shocked. Cole takes Elgin to the top rope and attempts a belly-to-back suplex but Elgin elbows him off. Elgin then puts Cole on the top rope but Cole knocks him down. Elgin hits a spinning backfist to Cole who is still on the top rope. Elgin climbs up and jumps backward giving Cole a super-bomb in the process. Elgin pins Cole to the win the all-stars match for the challengers and earn himself a title opportunity.
Jay Briscoe comes to the ring with a bag. Elgin confronts him and Briscoe hits him in the head with the bag. Briscoe this Cole with the bag as well and then takes the microphone and asks how the hell you’re going to have Champions vs All-Stars without the real world champion. Cole then pulls out a Briscoe-themed title belt and celebrates it.
