[Q1] Teddy Long welcomed us to Smackdown mid ring. Teddy plugged the fact Vince McMahon would be in the building tonight, to give him a job evaluation. Long tried to get the crowd to cheer for him remaining as GM. Booker T returned to nice cheers, Long looked pissed in the ring.
Booker thanked Long for filling in during his absence and asked the crowd to cheer if they wanted him to stay. Queue Vinnie Mac’s music.
Vince said only one person can be GM of Smackdown. He asked Long to say what he would do tonight to create an exciting Smackdown. Teddy announced Curtis Axel vs. Chris Jericho for the intercontinental title. Booker took his turn and announced Alberto Del Rio vs. Randy Orton. Brad Maddox ran to the ring asking for a word with Vince before he made his decision.
Brad Maddox claimed since he was already GM of Raw he should also be GM of Smackdown. He announced he had arranged the return of Rob Van Dam to Smackdown tonight. Vince thought about all this and announced Vickie Guerrero as the Smackdown GM. Shocking.
Vince and Vickie embraced. Vickie thanked Vince, she said the WWE Universe was why she had lost her job on Raw and she hated each and every one of them. She said she had her power back and there was nothing anyone could do about it. The three other GM candidates sold disbelief/bickered amongst themselves...

Miz made his entrance to zero response. Miz introduced Paul Heyman the same way he did last week. Miz handed Paul the mic and said to say whatever he wanted.
Paul said Brock’s attention is solely on CM Punk. Heyman says he still has love in his heart for Punk so this situation is hard for him. He offered a public plea of "stay down" to CM, he said if Punk showed his face again Brock would deal with him. The crowd chanted "CM Punk."
Miz took the microphone and said "really" a few times. He said he understands now why Heyman lies. Miz said the real Heyman is more revolting than the lying version of Heyman. He dropped the mic and walked out on Heyman.
