~Mark Briscoe vs. Tadarius Thomas~
Briscoe wins after hitting the "Froggy Bow", a five star frogsplash elbow drop on Thomas for the pin.
ML: Not exactly the match I was hoping for from these two. Briscoe and Thomas are very talented and excellent workers in the ring. This match simply just didn't mesh well between the two. I'm not sure if that has to do with the contrasting styles or not but Briscoe seemed bored and disconnected. Thomas has unlimited protential and hopefully, he'll be able to fill that potential and make it big in the professional wrestling business.
~Backstage Promo w/ Caprice Coleman & Cedrick Alexander and reDRagon(Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly)~
ML: Cedrick is improving when it comes to talking and cutting promos and I love seeing that growth. Alexander and Coleman are both special and Alexander has a higher ceiling due to his age. If Coleman was younger, there would be no question that he would be a HUGE star by now. He possesses a great mix of charisma and athletic ability. As far as reDRagon goes, they have begun to grow on me and I'm actually excited for the Tag Team Title match tonight!
~Adam Cole Promo - Michael Elgin comes out - Cole retreats but is blocked by Jay Briscoe~
ML: Well, there really isn't much to say here. Adam Cole has grown into becoming one of the most prominent Independent wrestlers in the U.S. He has developed into a real star and it's nice to see him get his opporunity as the ROH World Champion. As far as Michael Elgin goes, he will get his opportunity and I suspect that this could lead to a Triple Threat match for the ROH World Championship.
~Michael Bennett & Maria Kanellis vs. Brutal Bob Evans & Cheeseburger~
Bennett & Kanellis win after Bennett hits the Box Officd Smash on Cheeseburger for the pinfall.
ML: Not really sure how to feel about this match. This was more an entertainment segment than a real serious match. If they want fans to start taking this repackaged Michael Bennett more seriously, they need to move him in a different direction. I would like to see him challenge for the ROH World Television Title at some point. As for Cheeseburger and Brutal Bob, I don't suspect that this will move much further with them.
~Michael Bennett Post Match Promo - Kevin Steen cuts a promo on Bennett - Kanellis slaps Steen and Steen & Bennett brawl briefly~
ML: Bennett cuts a good heel promo here. He talks about how devasting his piledriver is after he accidentially ended BJ Whitmer's career. As far as Kevin Steen goes, Bennett finally has a direction and I'm interested to see how this feud boils over and builds over the who has the most devasting piledriver in the business.
~Steve Corino Promo~
ML: Corino wants his job back as a color commentator. I would like to see Corino back as a color commentator. I actually enjoy him on commentary.
Triple Threat World Tag Team Championship Match reDRagon(c) vs. C&C Wrestle Factory vs. The Forever Hooligans
reDRagon retain the titles after hitting "Chasing the Dragon" on Alex Kozlov for the pinfall
ML: This match was hands down the Match of the Night. It was a good mix of face-paced action and technical wrestling ability. I wish ROH gave them a little more time to allow the fans to see more of their wrestling ability. All six guys involved in the match are top notch wrestlers and they are capable of producing some top notch matches. The ROH tag team division is amongst the best in the world and I'm looking forward to seeing more and more tag team action!
~Final Thoughts~
ML: Not the best television show by ROH I've ever seen but overall it was solid enough ROH's TV main events usually make the television tapings because they're given enough time. The tag team division being emphasized is awesome because it's always some of the best action on television. I'm looking forward to watching Tadarius Thomas' future grow and I'm intrigued by the potential of the Michael Bennett and Kevin Steen feud that is brewing.
