Opening Segment
The content and performances weren't bad there, but the Miz isn't over enough for the crowd to really care about Triple H screwing him over. They were mostly silent there and I can't blame them. I don't really care either.
Alberto Del Rio defeated R-Truth at 1:33.
Not much to this, but making the Del Rio and RVD match at Battleground Hardcore Rules does give it a little more appeal. Although, given how stiff RVD and Del Rio work, I would be surprised if someone doesn't get busted up.
The Real Americans defeated The Prime Time Players at 4:13.
A solid tag match that will be a lot better down the road if they can get both of these teams over. Bray Wyatt actually having a match on TV is a big deal, so I hope they use it to actually start a story for him. They certainly should have advertised it.
Bray Wyatt defeated Zack Ryder at 2:11.
I don't know what else you could have expected. Ryder's push left orbit and landed on the Sun over a year ago. Wyatt looks strong but they really haven't pushed him into new territory in a while. That's a huge bummer.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Dean Ambrose ended in no contest at 1:40.
I guess that's why this doesn't happen every time the Shield is at ringside. I would rather see the title match, myself.
The Shield defeated RVD, Ziggler and Kofi at 11:23.
A good six man match and a strong segment backstage with Show. I think they are too late to try to turn Show back around, but we'll see if what they do is compelling enough.
AJ defeated Cameron at 2:29.
Cameron is green as the rolling hills, and that match was a reflection of that. AJ did her best, but it wasn't enough.
Paul Heyman promo
An excellent promo from Heyman, who continues to be the evil genius that has been the best character potrayal of his career. I like the mention of CM Punk not heeding his own instincts, and having it cost him victories. The stock of Ryback and Axel rise with stuff like this and they aren't even on screen.
Santino defeated Heath Slater at 2:50.
I want video tape of the writers meeting where somebody pitched this, just so I can confirm my suspicions that everyone in WWE drops a sheet of acid every week.
HHH Interview
I really hope The Rhodes' family doesn't get the snarky Triple H treatment on Monday. That would be the drizzling shits.
Miz wins by DQ at 2:47 then Randy Orton defeated Miz in the restarted match at 3:01.
Well, I guess we're still establishing Orton here? Do people really not understand his past and his multi-year run with this character? Don't get me wrong, visually it's been very good television, I just feel like it's already repetitive. They never really explained why Daniel Bryan wasn't on the show, either, and I hope they get around to that on Monday.
