Here are the results from TNA’s show at The Tabernacle in Atlanta last night.
This was the first live show I have been to since the old Center Stage TV Tapings. I can’t believe how hard these guys worked. The place probably had between 1200-1500 people there. It was a great night.
Eric Young d. Doug Williams.
Miss Tessmacher d. Mickie James — Mickie played the heel and did a damn good job of it.
Kurt Angle came out after the Knockouts match to tell the audience that he was supposed to wrestle, but was injured in Rome, GA the night before. As he was talking, he was knee clipped by a small Aces & Eights guy.
Zema Ion d. Sonjay Dutt in one hell of a match.
I got to go backstage at Intermission and met AJ Style, James Storm and Christopher Daniels.
AJ Styles d. Crimson.
James Storm d. Mr. Anderson – Anderson played the heel. Storm really had a lot of fun with the crowd, and seem to be literally enjoying himself out there.
Austin Aries d. Daniels in another absolutely great match. After the match, Aries got on the mic, and he was attacked by the same Aces & Eights guy (who was likely either Sonjay or Zima, based on his size). When Aries got the upper hand, Luke Gallows, dressed in his A&8′s garb rushed the ring. Angle then returned and Angle slammed him to the end the night.
I know that was Gallows because on our way to the parking lot, he came out the back door, as did both Sonjay and Zima (which is why I came to the conclusion about the small A&8 guy).
All in all, a great night of wrestling.
FYI, Both James and Tessmacher were selling their bodies (in photo) for 10 bucks a piece… The line for Mickie was probably twice as long as the line for Brooke.
Backstage passes went for 50 dollars good for the purchaser and one guest. I went and as I said… Styles, Storm, Daniels and Aries were back there taking pictures and signing autographs.
