AJ Styles is set to return to Ring of Honor on January 4th, there is some speculation that ROH and TNA may be working together but that is not the case. Styles is really done with TNA and this is not part of a storyline.
Both companies had been feeling each other out for some time and at one point, AJ had discussions with ROH about working with them in 2014 once his TNA deal expired. At some point, those talks halted because AJ was negotiating with TNA.
When Jeff Jarrett announced his resignation from TNA, word is that Styles took that as a sign that all was not right with TNA and perhaps he doesn’t want to return to the company any time soon.
