Chris Mcenaney just texted us the following from tonight’s WWE NXT tapings from Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL:
Seth “Tyler Black” Rollins just defeated WWE star Jinder Mahal to win the first-ever WWE NXT World Title. Mahal has been working in FCW as of late.
Howard Finkel, who Jim Ross confirmed was at the show earlier today, was the announcer for the match. The Fink did the ring introductions and the “NEW WWE NXT Champion” line to the delight of the crowd. After Rollins won the title, WWE agent Dusty Rhodes, Triple H and the entire WWE NXT locker-room came out to celebrate with him. It was said to have been a cool moment.
